SA Climate Champs supports 2nd Annual Green Careers Day Exhibition

Instika Yethu Foundation, supported by the SA Climate Change Champions, will be hosting the 2nd Annual Green Careers Day Exhibition on Friday, 30 September 2022 at Gold Fields Education Centre, Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden. SA Climate Change Champs assist organisations to host workshops and participate in conferences and events.


“The 2 nd  Annual Green Careers Day Exhibition forms part of Instika Yethu Foundation project called Green Communities Initiative which is supported and funded by the Table Mountain Fund and World Wide Fund – South Africa. We would like to thank the Biodiversity Educators from Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden for opening their centre for us to host our second event. We also appreciate the support from GreenCape through, Food Planet Fisheries Somerset West for their in kind sponsorship with lunch packs for learners,” says Thandisile Fatyela (Founder: Instika Yethu Foundation).


This year’s annual green careers day exhibition is aimed at grade 9 pupils from Khanyolwethu Secondary School and Nomzamo High School. The objective of this event is to expose the Grade 9 learners to different environmental careers before their subject choice decisions in Grade 10 for the following year. The learners get an opportunity to be exposed to different environmental experts and they will learn more about the line of works.


Khanyolwethu Secondary School and Nomzamo High School, both schools are from Strand in the metro east. Exhibitor at the Career Expo will include South African National Biodiversity Institute, Nature Connect, South African National Parks, GreenCape, Lwandle Migrant Labour Museu and Mpact Recycling.
