Brief description of the programme:

The Indalopreneurs Just Transition Enterprise Support Programme (I-JTEP) is implemented as a part of the Strategic Partnership for the implementation of the Paris Agreement (SPIPA) programme. Financially supported by the European Union’s Partnership Instrument and the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Safety (BMU) in the context of the International Climate Initiative (IKI). The central objective of the Indalopreneurs Just Transition Enterprise Support Programme (I-JTEP) is to contribute efforts that enable South African businesses to develop innovations that facilitate a just transition. The Indalopreneurs Just Transition Enterprise Support Programme seeks to support entrepreneurs within the Limpopo and Mpumalanga coal-dependent communities and value chains.

We are looking for early-stage enterprises within the following sectors:
-Tourism
-Water and Sanitation
-Renewable Energy
-Waste
-Agriculture
-Industrial Technologies
-Transport

Location of the programme:

The programme is hosted by Indalo Inclusive in Pretoria, The Innovation Hub, Enterprise Building. We are rolling out the programme in the coal-dependent communities in Limpopo and Mpumalanga.

Breakdown of the programme schedule/modules/sessions:

Bootcamp
The I-JTEP support programme kicks off with a 3-day Bootcamp where 10 selected enterprises will receive training. The Bootcamp is followed by a period/series of personalized mentorship and support for 10 enterprises.

Profiling
I-JTEP participants will be profiled nationally through an awards ceremony and through Indalo Inclusive SA

Materials and Tools
Self-help tools such as conducting customer and market analysis and developing a funding strategy will be provided to enable enterprises to prioritize and address participant’s most urgent needs.

Networking Building
Indalo Inclusive SA will facilitate connections with valuable support organizations such as funders, policy-makers as well as partners and associates.
