Are you a post-revenue green economy business in South Africa struggling to access growth capital? Applications are now open!

Over the past couple of years, we’ve been quietly building something new.

Too many impact-led, post-revenue green businesses in South Africa are not failing from lack of demand – they’re constrained by capital that was never designed for their realities.

Not scalable fast enough for venture capital.
Too early for private equity.
Too small for banks.

Stuck in the “Missing Middle.”

Together with the Anglo American Foundation, we asked ourselves:

“What would capital look like if it were designed by the very people navigating this gap – and built around the real operating realities of impact-led businesses?”

So we built it.

Today, we’re proud to introduce Aséli Impact Capital – a first-of-its-kind impact-focussed permanent capital vehicle for South Africa’s green economy, deploying patient, flexible capital with repayments linked to real business cashflows.

This isn’t just another impact fund. It’s a structural rethink of how climate-tech and green SMMEs are financed.

We’ve already deployed capital into our first two investments and today, we’re opening our first call for applications!

If you’re a post-revenue green economy or climate-tech business in South Africa looking for growth capital, we’d love to hear from you:
